Mike Kenteris is an IT Engineer M.Eng, M.Sc. and has a PhD in Mobile application design and context-aware computing. Since March 2000, he has a privately owned IT and language teaching organization (LTO) on Lesvos island. As a passionate EFL educator, he believes in engaging his learners through the use of active learning approaches and technology as a means to succeed in achieving learning outcomes. An advocate of global connections and life long learning he strives to connect with educators around the world creating personal learning networks or getting students cooperating together on global projects. His current research interests include Gamification in LTO  and Flipped learning methods. An advocate of Flipped Learning method he is a member of the Flipped Learning in Language Teaching team for TESOL’s Electonic Village Online.
